Why an Attorney?

My Career Path
Since I was a kid, I've found joy in helping people and speaking up for those who have been silenced. My motivation comes from wanting to make a fundamental change in people's lives and in society. Meeting with lawyers and learning more about what they do has inspired me to pursue a career in the legal field.
The profession of law is about more than debating in a courtroom. In fact, debating is only about 15% of what a lawyer actually does. The job requires strong communication skills, and the ability to research, write clearly, and articulate the needs of others. Lawyers are responsible for advising clients, preparing legal documents, studying cases, and representing people in legal matters.
I am drawn to this profession because it allows me to combine my passion for justice with my skills in communication and problem solving skills. Being a lawyer means not just arguing cases, but also guiding people through some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
